Privacy policy

This launch draft explains the information WheelWisely uses to provide and secure the service. It must receive business or legal approval before launch. Last updated 5 August 2026.

Information we use

We process account details supplied through our authentication provider, vehicle registrations and preferences you submit, generated report data, support correspondence, and limited technical logs such as timestamps, device information and network identifiers.

Why we use it

We use this information to authenticate users, provide requested reports, operate and secure the service, respond to support requests, prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations. Our lawful bases may include performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent and legal obligation.

Who receives it

Information is shared only as needed with infrastructure, authentication, vehicle-data and AI service providers acting for WheelWisely, or when law requires it. Vehicle reports are not sold to dealers or sellers. Providers may process information outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.

Retention and security

We retain information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above, dispute handling and legal requirements. Contact-form messages are delivered by email and are not written to the application database. Access controls, encryption and operational logging are used to protect service data, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to receive a portable copy. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
