Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before you check a vehicle.

What the service covers, where the evidence comes from and what you should still verify yourself.

What does a WheelWisely report cover?

Depending on the selected journey, WheelWisely combines relevant UK vehicle records with model-level research to explain suitability, history, known risks and useful checks before purchase.

Where does the vehicle data come from?

Reports may use DVLA and DVSA records, vehicle-history providers and cited public research. Availability varies by vehicle and report type. The report identifies missing or incomplete information where possible.

What does AI add?

AI helps organise evidence, identify patterns and explain trade-offs in plain language. It does not inspect the vehicle and can make mistakes, so important findings should be checked independently.

Which vehicles can I check?

The service is designed for UK vehicles. Registration-based checks require a valid UK registration and data coverage varies by age, history and provider availability.

How long does a report take?

Core vehicle records normally appear quickly. Research-heavy sections can take longer and may continue loading after the first results are shown.

Is my report private?

Access to vehicle tools is authenticated. We use account and vehicle information to provide the service and operate it securely; we do not sell report contents to dealers or sellers. See the privacy policy for details.

How does pricing work?

Any published price must be confirmed at the point of purchase. Until checkout is enabled, pricing shown on the site is indicative and no payment is taken.

What should I verify before buying?

Confirm the vehicle identity, service history, finance and write-off status, recall position and seller evidence. Take a proper test drive and use an independent mechanical inspection when the purchase warrants it.
